Counselling

At times life can be difficult.

Sometimes we get to a point where we no longer know what to do, or how to manage life and the situations we may be facing. This is where counselling can help.

Counselling, or as I like to call it, Talk Therapy, allows us to explore through chatting with someone experienced in identifying the things that ail us.

We engage a wide range of tools and research, and undergo professional development to ensure that you receive the best possible approach to your individual problem.

What happens at a Counselling Session?

At an initial consultation we will have a discussion about what motivated you to make contact and what goals you may like to achieve from counselling.

I will take some notes that will help determine the appropriate approach for you; and the notes will also assist in developing a treatment plan. At the end of this discussion we will discuss the approach to be taken and ensure you understand the outcome and approach I will take.

I will ask you to sign an agreement to provide you with an understanding of the commitments we have made for your journey. The agreement also outlines the boundaries and limitations of how the sessions will run, including the length of each session.

How many sessions will I have?

The number of sessions vary depending on the issues that need addressing, so it is hard to place a clear figure on the number of sessions. However, you can rest comfortably knowing that I will not have you coming for anymore sessions than you need. Also, I will not stop the sessions until you are comfortable.

At all times you are in control
